Hyperliquid Guide 2026: Wallet Access, Deposits, Fees and Referral Rules

CryptoRebateHub Editorial Team

A practical Hyperliquid guide covering wallet or email access, Arbitrum USDC funding, referral rules, fees, HYPE staking, HLP vaults and regional restrictions.

Quick answer: Hyperliquid is a wallet-connected, on-chain order-book perpetuals venue. Verify regional access, wallet signatures, deposit networks and liquidation risk before using it. Its access, fees and referral rules are not the same as a centralized exchange signup flow.

Getting started

Open the official frontend, verify the domain and regional restrictions, then choose email verification or an EVM wallet. Sign only transactions you understand and never share a seed phrase. A common funding route uses supported USDC over Arbitrum; match the asset, network, address and minimum amount, then test with a small transfer.

Referral and fees

Use the current official referral documentation and account display as the source of truth. The documented model includes a trading-volume threshold before a referrer can generate a code and a possible 4% discount for an invitee within the first $25 million of volume. A referrer’s share is not the same as cash paid directly to the invitee. Compare maker/taker fees, funding, slippage, transfers and liquidation losses separately.

HYPE, HLP and Builder Codes

HYPE staking has validator and unlock conditions. HLP vaults carry strategy and liquidity risk rather than a fixed deposit yield. Builder Codes are an authorization-based fee mechanism for frontends or bots and should not be confused with a normal referral code. Review the official documentation, signing scope and drawdowns separately.

Who should use it?

It is better suited to users who understand self-custody, on-chain signing and perpetuals risk. If networks, wallet backup, liquidation and funding are unfamiliar, start with the liquidation calculator and fee comparison tool.
