Binance Fee Rebates Explained: BNB Discounts, Lite vs Pro and Existing Accounts

CryptoRebateHub Editorial Team

Your real Binance fee rate depends on the base rate, BNB fee payment, VIP tier and any referral benefit. A worked spot example shows how they combine, and why an existing account cannot add a referral just by entering a code.

Direct answer: a Binance “rebate” is only one layer of fee reduction. Start with the base rate, apply the BNB discount, and only then count a referral benefit you have confirmed in your account.

The layers of a Binance fee

Regular users (VIP 0) pay 0.10% maker and 0.10% taker on spot, and 0.02% maker / 0.05% taker on USDⓈ-M futures; the official fee page is authoritative. Three things adjust that:

  • BNB fee payment: the official fee page has long listed a 25% discount when spot fees are paid in BNB, and 10% on USDⓈ-M futures. You must switch it on in the account and hold enough BNB.
  • VIP tier: based on 30-day volume and BNB holdings; higher tiers pay less.
  • Referral benefit: a relationship created with a referral code may give a fee discount or rebate; the rate and duration are shown in your account.

Lite and Pro are different programs

Binance runs Referral Lite and Referral Pro. Lite focuses on one-off rewards after tasks; Pro pays the referrer a commission on the invitee’s eligible fees. The referrer’s commission rate is not your saving. Check the discount you actually receive in your own account.

A worked spot month

Suppose you trade 50,000 USDT of spot in a month, all as taker:

  1. Base fee: 50,000 × 0.10% = 50 USDT.
  2. With BNB fee payment on: 50 × (1 − 25%) = 37.5 USDT.
  3. If the account confirms a 20% fee rebate, a conservative estimate on the discounted fee is about 7.5 USDT, for a net cost of about 30 USDT.

Whether the BNB discount and the referral benefit stack, and whether the rebate is based on the fee before or after the discount, is decided by your account’s settlement records. Until confirmed, estimate with zero rebate in the rebate calculator.

Can an existing Binance account add a referral code?

Not by simply entering a code again. Binance has separate official recall or connection rules for some existing accounts, and eligibility depends on account status and current terms; see the existing-account guide. Never accept a “manual binding” service that asks for verification codes, API keys or transfers.

Three checks after sign-up

  • Confirm the referral relationship on the referral page; this site’s Binance code is WLFI47.
  • Confirm the spot and futures rates that apply, and whether BNB fee payment is on.
  • Each month, reconcile fee records against what was actually credited, using the rebate statement audit.
