Binance existing account: can you still add a referral code?
Only if the account has never had a referrer. Within 30 days of registration and before any deposit or trade, you can bind a code yourself on Binance’s official binding page. Later, an affiliate can bring you in two ways: a Recall link (account older than 90 days, no trading or product use for 90 days) or a Rebind application (KYC done, under 5,000 USD of volume in 90 days, then 150,000 USD within 30 days). A code that is already linked cannot be changed.
Disclosure: our links carry referral code WLFI47; we may earn a commission. The rules below come from the exchanges’ own pages, including where they say no.
How to apply, step by step
- Check eligibility: account created less than 30 days ago, no deposit or trade yet, no referrer shown in your Referral page.
- Open the official binding page (binance.com/activity/referral/bind-ref) while logged in and enter WLFI47.
- Confirm. If the page refuses, the account does not meet one of the conditions — do not deposit to “fix” it, as any deposit closes the window.
- Older account that never had a referrer and has been inactive for 90 days? Open our Binance link below while logged in and tap [Bind Now]. For a Rebind application (under 5,000 USD of volume in 90 days), email us for a Rebind link.

Your options, rule by rule
Add a code after signup — Possible
Binance’s Standard Referral FAQ allows binding after signup only when every condition holds: within 30 days of registration, no existing referral relationship, no deposit or trading activity, a parent (not sub-) account, identity details not used on another account in the past 180 days, and no wash-trading flag. Use the official binding page and enter WLFI47; the binding is then permanent.

Affiliate recall / rebind link — Possible
Binance’s Affiliate’s Recall Program lets an affiliate invite back accounts that have never accepted any inviter, are more than 90 days old and have not traded or used any Binance product in the past 90 days. The user opens the affiliate’s link, logs in and taps [Bind Now]; the binding takes effect immediately.

Affiliate Rebind application — Possible
Binance’s Affiliates Rebind FAQ (published 28 Sept 2026) adds a second affiliate-started route. Only the affiliate can start it, from the Rebind Application page of the Affiliate Dashboard. You must have completed KYC, have no existing referrer, use a master account, have traded less than 5,000 USD (or equivalent) in the last 90 days, not be flagged for abnormal trading, and not live where the Referral Program is unsupported. After you submit, the binding completes only once you reach 150,000 USD of trading volume within 30 days: spot, futures, Convert, margin and copy trading count; sub-account and zero-fee-pair volume do not, and the bStocks 3x multiplier does not apply. At Binance’s 0.10% regular spot rate that volume costs about 150 USD in fees, so do not trade more than you planned just to qualify.

Change an existing referrer — Not possible
Binance’s Referral Pro FAQ: the referral code must be used when creating the account, and “once the referral relationship has been established, it cannot be changed or removed.”

Close and sign up again — Not recommended
Binance’s account-deletion FAQ warns that identity verification on a new account may be blocked for 30 days or longer, and that a new account linked to a different referral loses eligibility for referral rebates. It is not a way to change referrer.

Questions about existing accounts
I already deposited — can I still bind a Binance referral code?
Not by yourself: the self-binding window requires no deposit or trading activity. After that, only an affiliate-started route can apply, and only if the account never had an inviter: Recall (90 days inactive) or Rebind (under 5,000 USD volume in the last 90 days, then 150,000 USD within 30 days).
My Binance account already has a referrer. Can I switch to WLFI47?
No. Binance says an established referral relationship cannot be changed or removed, and both the Recall Program and the Rebind feature require an account with no existing referrer.
Does deleting my account and signing up again work?
Binance warns that verification on the new account may be blocked for 30 days or longer and that a new account with a different referral loses referral rebate eligibility. We do not recommend it.
Does binding affect my funds or orders?
Binding only creates the referral relationship; it does not move funds. Fee benefits depend on the referral program terms shown in your account.
