OKX existing account: the 180-day inactive recall, explained
An ordinary referral code cannot be added after signup. The exception is OKX’s affiliate recall: if your account has made no deposits, no trades and no logins for over 180 days, an OKX affiliate can send you a Reconnect link; you log in, enter the invitation code and a reason, and OKX reviews within 24 hours. You cannot check eligibility in advance, and deleting and re-creating accounts to change affiliate is not allowed.

How to apply, step by step
- Check the condition yourself: no deposit, no trade and no login on the OKX account for more than 180 days (logging in to check resets the clock — check your last activity in your records instead).
- Open our OKX link below — it is the same link as our OKX signup link.
- Log in to the dormant account, enter invitation code WLFI47 and a short reason, then submit.
- Wait for OKX’s review (within 24 hours for eligible accounts). If the page says you are not eligible, the account does not meet the criteria — OKX does not allow retrying a failed recall.

Add a code after signup — Not possible
OKX’s Referral FAQ: “the referral code must be applied before sign-up is completed; it can’t be added afterwards,” and after registration the referral relationship usually cannot be added or changed.

Affiliate recall / rebind link — Possible
OKX’s Affiliate FAQ says affiliates can recall invitees “if they haven’t made any deposits, trades, or logged in for over 180 days.” The affiliate copies an invitation link from Affiliate portal → Reconnect users; the user opens it in a browser, logs in, enters the affiliate’s invitation code and a reason, and submits. OKX reviews daily and completes eligible rebinding within 24 hours. Rebinding only changes the commission relationship — trades and open positions are unaffected. Ineligible users see a notice and cannot submit; users cannot check eligibility beforehand.

Change an existing referrer — Not possible
Once assigned, the affiliate attribution cannot be changed, and if a registration or recall fails it cannot be re-bound. A rebound user can later be recalled again only if they again meet the 180-day criteria.

Close and sign up again — Not recommended
OKX’s Affiliate FAQ says users are not permitted to change channel by deleting and re-creating accounts. OKX also describes a 7-day cooling-off period for reusing the same identity or account details, says duplicate registration and identity verification are not supported, and asks users not to close or move assets just to get around identity verification.

Questions about existing accounts
Is the OKX 180-day rebind an official rule?
Yes. It is part of OKX’s affiliate program: the Affiliate FAQ (updated 15 Sept 2026) and the “invite existing users” help page (updated 7 Sept 2026) describe the 180-day criteria, the Reconnect link and the 24-hour review.
Does “inactive” include logging in?
Yes. OKX’s wording is no deposits, trades, or logins for over 180 days. Logging in to look around counts as activity.
Will rebinding affect my positions or balance?
No. OKX says rebinding only affects the commission relationship and has no impact on trades or open positions.
Can I close my OKX account and register again to use WLFI47?
OKX does not allow changing affiliate channel by deleting and re-creating accounts, applies a cooling-off period and does not support duplicate identity verification. Use the recall route only if your account qualifies.
