How to read the Bitcoin Supply & Issuance Dashboard
This dashboard calculates Bitcoin’s protocol-issued supply, current block subsidy, annualized new supply, issuance inflation rate and stock-to-flow from the current block height and the 210,000-block halving schedule. It also plots the long-run supply curve to 2140.
How to read the result
- Each halving roughly halves annual issuance and the inflation rate.
- By the schedule, well over 90% of the 21 million cap has already been issued.
- Stock-to-flow only describes scarcity.
Limits and cautions
- Supply is theoretical protocol issuance; it does not subtract lost or unspendable coins.
- It assumes 144 blocks a day; real block times vary.
- Stock-to-flow is not a price model or price target.
