How do I use the Funding Rate Monitor?

Extremes breed reversals: annualized funding above 50% signals dangerously crowded longs prone to cascade liquidations, while deeply negative funding clusters near panic bottoms. Persistent positive funding is also the entry condition for the carry trade (see the Arbitrage Calculator).

What should I watch out for?

Single prints are noisy — average several 8-hour periods. Settlement mechanics differ across exchanges, so mind the basis when comparing venues.
